Aim: To authenticate the electric activity relationship between dorsal raph and habenular nucleus and to authenticate GABA and 5-HT to participate in the mechanism of OSAS. Mathod: (1) To recorde discharge of habenular after electric stimulating dorsal raphe and microinjection lidocaine through burying cannula in dorsal,(2)To recorde discharge of dorsal raphe after electric stimulating dorsal raphe and microinjection lidocaine through burying cannula in dorsal,(3)To recorde discharge of dorsal raphe after microinjection GABA or 3μg and 6μg 5-HT through burying cannula in dorsal and record frequency of respiration simultaneously. Result: (1)The discharge of lateral habenular increases(58%) and the discharge of medial habenular decreases(56%) after interdicting dorsal raphe,(2) The discharge of lateral habenular decreases(61%) and the discharge of medial habenular(52%) increases after stimulating dorsal raphe,(3) The discharge of dorsal raphe increases mostly(53%) after interdicting dorsal raphe,(4) The discharge of dorsal raphe decreases mostly(62%) after stimulating dorsal raphe,(5) The discharge of dorsal raphe increases mostly(58%) after microinjecting GABA in dorsal raphe,(6) The discharge of dorsal raphe decreases mostly(58%) after microinjecting GABA in habenular, and the frequency of respiration does not change nearly, (7)The discharge of dorsal raphe decreases mostly(65% or 58%) after microinjecting 3μg or 6μg 5-HT in habenular, and the frequency of respiration decreases and there is a pause when microinjecting6μg 5-HT sometimes. Discussion: Lateral habenula is functionally interposed between limbic and striatal systems through the involvement of the midbrain structures.Habenular nucleus modulates the function of hippocampi through dorsal raphe .Dorsal raphe(DR) innervates habenular. Stimulating lateral habenular arouses decreased discharge of dorsal raphe. In reverse,DR impacts the function of habenular modulating on blood pressure through 5-HT.The medial and the lateral habenula exert a major influence upon functional activity in the interpeduncular nucleus and the mesencephalic raphe nuclei. OSAS which is obstructed in upper airway is one type of SAS.There is at least 5 minutes breath pause that is 1.2% during during the whole night sleep being 7 hours in the patients with OSAS,and even 50% in some patients. The incidence of OSAS is very high in the world which is 7%-13% in our country. As a headtream disease ,OSAS is studied by native and foreign researchers. The conclusions imply that SAS is a major danger factor in Hypertension and Coronary heart disease and Miocardian infarction and so on.Furthermore OSAS can increase the negative press of thorax which result in countercurrent of esophagus and so forth. The emergence of OSAS is affected by many factors, but the most important one is straitness of upper airway.Pharynx is the crossing of the upper airway and upper esophague. The components of pharynx parenchyma which lacks of bone structure,so the parenchyma that is muscle around pharynx collapsing will lead to straitness of upper airway, then bring OSAS in which lacking of O2 and increasing of CO2 exist. Loss of muscle activity at sleep onset is thought to be a major factor in the development of airway closure in patients with OSA. Hypoglossal motor nucleus(HMN) innervates on tongue muscle including genioglossus (GG).In conjunction with other pharyngeal muscles, the...
