| Objective To investigate the KANGNAOLING capsule's curative effection on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury and its efficiency as a preventive measure against the apoptosis of cornu ammonis. Methods The focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion model are made with high-lipid diet rats by common carotid artery (CCA) with threads embolus. We divide the rats into 6 groups in random, detect the change of some active oxygen radicals such as Nitric oxide (NO), NOS, super-oxide demitasse (SOD), MDA etc. Also, we detect the change of cholinesterase (CHE), Monoamine Oxidize (MAO); we also detect the expression of bcl-2, P53 and caspase-3 which are neuronal apoptosis related genes. Result The results indicate that the KANGNAOLING capsule can promote the model rats' NO level, NOS activation and can improve the cerebral blood flow, decrease the further damage of the neurons. It can improve SOD activation, lower the amount of MDA, reduce the vigor of CHE and MAO, then suppress production of free radical and delay neuronal cell death. The KANGNAOLING capsule also can lead the expression of bcl-2 protein, suppress the express of p53, caspase-3 at the same time, so it can reduce the apoptosis of neurons. Conclusion These capsule can antagonize the neurons' damage and apoptosis of the cerebral ischemia-reperfusion rats' model. It also can improve the metabolize of free radicals, readjust the disordered neurotransmitter ,etc. It suggest that this capsule can control the growing of Vascular Dementia (VD), more important ,it can play a positive role on recovering of the VD. |
