Objective Plasm Hyperhomocysteinimia is risk factors for cardic and cerebral vessels disease in children ,but seldom data on homocystein level and its influence agents of simple obesity children in our country .The aim of the study was to investigate whether blood plasm homocysteine levels and its metabolism correlation factor inclusive insulin, folic acid,VitB12, anthropometric parameter such as body mass index(BMI),plasma lipid contribute to the variation in the simple obese children. In order to provide new path to prevent and cure the simple obese children. Methods 1.The study included two groups that were divided into the simple obese group and normal control group. Fifty eight case healthy children and simple obese children were selected respectively in our study. The simple obese children internalize standard :simple obese children were assessed by body height divided body mass recommended by WHO.Obese was judged by body mass exceeding healthy children more than 20% with equal body height and gender, 20%29 %,30%49%,above 50% more than normal children assessment sightly ,moderately, heavily obese and exclusion congenital hereditary, metabolism and endocrin disease. All the children originated from well baby clinic and health screening in Haikou, age and gender well matched. 2. Body mass index(BMI)=body mass(kg)/body height(m2).Venous blood was drawed by 12 hours fasting.. Total plasm homocysteine(Hcy) was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorometric detection(HPLC).Vitamin B12,folate and insulin were determined using radioimmunoassys(RI).Blood glucose, total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG) were determined by enzymatic methods. High density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-Ch) was determined by phophoric acid tangsten magnesium sediment method.Low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-Ch) was calculated by formula Friedewaid. LDL= TC –(TG/2.2 +HDL-Ch). 3.Statistical analysis:Date were expressed as the mean ±standard error of the mean. The t-test was adminstered to compare differences between obese group and control group. The ANOVA was administered to compare differences between various kinds degree obese groups.Plasma homocysteine, body mass index(BMI),insulin, folic acid,VitB12 data were statistical treatment by correlation , mutiple regression analysis and stepwiss regression anslysis. Results 1.No significant homocysteine levels differences were found in healthy or obese children whether boys or girls(P>0.05). 2.Body mass index(BMI), homocysteine levels(Hcy),insulin(In),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG) , low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-Ch)with obese children were higher than that in control group significantly(P<0.01).High density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-Ch), Vitamin B12(VitB12),folic acid(FA) was lower than that in control group significantly (P<0.01).The variation followed obese degree. No significant blood glucose differences was found between obese and healthy children(P>0.05). 3. Hcy,TC,TG,LDL-Ch,In increased ,but FA, VitB12, HDL-Ch reduced with the obesity degree increasing. ANOVA showed that difference was significant(P<0.05). Differences in light obese children with Hcy,TC,TG,LDL-Ch, FA, VitB12, HDL-Ch were significant compared those with control group. TC,TG,Hcy,LDL-Ch increased but HDL-Ch reduced compared middle and light obese children(P<0.05). Hcy,TC,TG,LDL-Ch,In increased but FA, HDL-Ch reduced compared heavy and middle obese children(P<0.05). 4.Adjust blood glucose variance ,Hcy positive correlated significantly with In (r=0.249,P<0.05),body mass index(BMI) (r=0.606, P<0.01); negative correlated significantly with FA levels(r= -0.323,P<0.01),. VitB12(r= -0.30,P<0.05).Mutiple regression analysis showed that body mass index (BMI),FA, VitB12, In was the independence risk factor with homocysteine .Stepwiss regression anslysis showed that BMI,In correlated with homocysteine ( Adjust R2=0.381,P<0.01). Conclusions 1.Our study shows that plasma lipid is abnormal metabolism in obesechildren . 2.Our study demonstrates that homocysteine levels ,insulin ar...
