The Clinic Research Of Aniseikonia And Stereopsis In Anisometropia Patients

Objective To investigate the difference between the actual figure and theoretic figure of aniseikonia in anisometropic amblyopia patients; examine the stereoacuity of anisometropic amblyopia patients and ametropic amblyopia patients, and analysis the related factors, to give guideline for the treatment of anisometropic amblyopia patients.Methods The testees were devided into 3 groups, and were tested by ATBC, NAT and TNO, then compared the results.Results 1. There is no statistical difference between the actual figure and theoretic figure of aniseikonia in control group (P>0.05) .2. In the anisometropic amblyopia group, the theoretic figure and the actual figure is different (P<0.05) ;the difference of stereopsis between the control group and ametropic amblyopia group is obviously (P<0.01) ; this group is devided into 2 groups according to the degree of anisometropia ,between the 2 groups, there is no difference in aniseikonia (P=0.676>0.05); and the aniseikonia after being corrected is different(P=0.004<0.01);the corrected vision has no differentce (P=0.226>0.05) ; the stereopsis is different obviously (P=0.008<0.01); 3. In the ametropic amblyopia group, the actual figure is different with the theoretic figure (P=0.042<0.05) ; the stereopsis is different with that of the anisometropic amblyopia group (P<0.01) .Conclusions There is no relationship between aniseikonia and anisometropia, and ametropia can cause aniseikonia, too. The damage on visual function caused by anisometropia is severe. So it is important to give enough correction to increase the vision when we treat anisometropic amblyopia.
