Objective:1, To reseach the biodistribution of [N-methyl-11C]choline on nude mice with lung adenocarcinoma, and to found the clinical bases for the applying of the 11C-choline PET.2, To investigate the utility of 11C-choline PET in evaluating lung cancer on the diagnosis.3, To investigate the utility of 11C-choline PET in evaluating lung cancer on the clinical staging. Methods:1, The biodistribution of [N-methyl-11C]choline was studied on nude mice with lung adenocarcinoma. The PET imaging was going on the rats with Walker 256.2, Twenty-one patients were examined with both CT and 11C-choline PET, of which standardized uptake values (SUVs) were used to evaluate the lesions. Compared the results with pathological results .3 , Detected the the mediastinal lymph node metastases with CT and 11C-choline PET on twenty-one patients, evaluate the ability of both CT and 11C-choline PET on detection lymph node metastases comparing with the pathological results . Results:1, The biodistribution showed that most parts of radioactivity were in kidney , liver and intestine. Tumor/blood raised from 0.9 to 6.9 after 5min to 20min i.v. There were high uptake at the liver and intestine.2, For detecting of the lung lesions ,there were 12 positives of the 21 patients, the sensitivity , specificity and accuracy of 11C-choline PET on the...
