[objective]To review the experience of the treatment of talus fractures with orwithout dislocations.[Methods]To analysis 18 cases of talus fractures with or without dislocations.There were 8 cases treated with plaster fixation, 12 treated with open reduction and internal fixation . 16 cases received postoperative follow-up for a period of 8 months to 27 months ( average of 18 months).[Results]Necrosis of talus body was found in 3 cases. According to the criteriaof Kenwright, 6 cases were excellent, 6 cases were good, 3 cases were common and1 case was poor. The excellent and good rates were 75%.[Conclusion]The talus fractures with or without dislocations must be treated as early as possible to attain anatomical reduction with firm internal or plaster fixation. Proper incision should be chosen to avoid further soft tissue injury and aggressive prevention on talus ischemia must be emphasized.
