Objective To investigate the value of FG preventing Lymphocyst inLymphoidectomy of cervical cancer. Methods To analyze 92 cases of cervical cancer accepted the radical hysterectomy and lymphonectomy from December 2002 to December 2003 in Shanxi Provincial Tumor Hospital, compared the state of post-operation and the incidence of post-operative lymphocyst between FG-group or non-FG-group. The mean age was 49.37 years(range 30-72). Results Mean drainage in FG-group was 157. 7+41. 5mland 111.66 9.65ml in non-FG-group postoperatively. Of all patients, 2 cases(0. 032%) occurred lymphocytes in 62 FG-group cases and 4 cases(13. 333%) in 30 non-FG-group postoperatively. FG could shorten remain days ofdrainage-tube, decrease the occur rate of lymphocyst. Conclusion Efficient management of drainage in gynecologic malignancy operations was significant in reducing lymphocyst. There was statistical significance in the post-operational lymphocyst in comparisons of FG-group or non-FG-group. FG can reduce the possibility of the occur rate of lymphocyst.
