A 14 year old male patient had presented with nodular xanthomas on the dorsal part of both elbow joints and buttocks without subjective symptoms. Laboratory study showed hypercholesterolemia and increased low-density lipoprotein. There were no abnormity of ultra-sound of abdomen and ECG and cornea. Histological examination found foam cells and Touton giant cells in the specimen of xanthoma removed from the buttock. The patient's younger brother with the same clinical manifestations began at age 4 and laboratory study revealed hypercholesterolemia and increased low-density lipoprotein.
