| Objectives: To observe the clinical result of Yishenjiangzhuo Decoction in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) and the change of serum leptin level,To explore the relationship of leptin and the cause of disease of traditional Chinese medition.Materials and Methods: According to the standard in Chinese journal of internal medicine and national symposium of TCM, 40 patients with CRF were divided into treatment group and contrast group at random, treatment group is 20 case and contrast group is also 20 case ,20 healthy people were taken as the normal group, Patients of treatment group took the Yishenjingzhou decoction, Patients of contrast group took the Chinese Rhubarb.Observe the change of Blood urea nitrogen(BUN) .. serum creatinine (Scr) , clearance of endogenous creatinine(Ccr), Albumin Hemoglobin, serum Leptin levels and symptom in before and after therapy. Serum Leptin level were detected by radioimmunoassay (RIA) method.Results: (1) The therapeutic efficacy of treatment group on Yishenjingzhou decoction is much better than that of contrast group. (P<0.05) (2) The serum Leptin level was significantly increased in patients with CRF compared with the normal group (P<0.01). (3)The Serum Leptin level was obviously reduced after Yishenjiangzhuo Decoction therapy. (P<0.01). (4) The analysis of correlation showed that the serum Leptin level of patient was positively correlated to the clinical symptom of reduced food intake.(5) The analysis of correlation showed that the serum Leptin level of patient is negatively correlatedto clearance of endogenous creatinine and positively correlated to the level of serum creatinine.Conclusion: (1) The therapeutic effect of treatment group was much better than that of the constrast group. (2) The serum Leptin level in patients with CRF increased was because of the decrease of clearance of endogenous creatinine.(3) Because Leptin can cause the symptom of reduced food intake and the serum Leptin level of patient was positively correlated to the symptom of reduced food intake..Leptin should be ascribed to dampness turbidity (4) Through the function of supplement and boost the spleen and kidney ,and discharge turbidity and dispel stasis, Yishenjiangzhuo Decoction can improve renal function and lighten clinical symptom and delay the development of CRF with spleen-kidney qi vacuity.(5) Yishenjiangzhuo Decoction can decrease the Leptin level in patients with CRF, which may be one of mechanism of its effect.. |
