Primary carcinoma of the fallopian tube is the rarest cancer of the female genital tract with an incidence of less than 1% of all gynecologic tumors. For its low incidence, lacking of reconowldgement, without special clinical symptoms and signs, short of diagnosis methords that its preopreation diagnosis and 5-year survive rate are lower than other tumors. The clinical research is so important that it is not only the crisis to improve the survive rate but also the important evidence to make therapy plans and evaluate the prognosis. Objective To explore the factors affecting the diagnosis, therapy and prognosis of the primary fallopian tube cancer. Methods The X2 -test ,t-test ,Kaplan-Meier survive curve are applied to retrospectively evaluating the 43 patients who had been diagnosed with primary carcinoma of the fallopian tube at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Jilin University No.1, No.2 and No.3 hospital. Results Most of the patients are postmenpause women (65.12%).Abnomal vaginal bleeding, watery vaginal discharge are the ordinary symptoms ,the pelvic complex are the ordinary sign. The main pathology type is adenocarcinoma(95.35%) and the most of them are unilateral(88.37%).The preoperation diagnosis rate is 9.30%.Five patients with stage 11 were subjected to radical lymphadenectomy who obtained 63.5 months median survive time, and another nine patients without lymphadenectomy who obtained 53 months, there was no difference between them(p>0.05).Six patients with stage III were subjected to radical lymphadenectomy who obtained 35.2 months median survive time, and another ten patients without lymphadenectomy who obtained 31 months, there was no difference between them(p>0.05).Patients who were subjected to chemotherapy in addition to operation whose median survive time were 50 months, the patients who were subjected to radiotherapy in addition to operation and chemotherapy whose median survive time were 31 months, there was no difference between them(p>0.05),but compared with the patients only surgery whose median survive time were 20.5 months, there was difference between them(p<0.05).The median survive time were 72 months,58 months,36 months,5 months for stage I ,stage II,stage III and stage IV respectively, there was difference between them(p<0.05).The median survive time were 70 months,27 months for radical surgery and imradical surgery respectively, there was difference between them(p<0.05).Conclusion Abnormal vaginal bleeding, watery vaginal discharge are the ordinary symptoms ,the pelvic complex are the ordinary sign. The symptom complex of 'hydrops tubae profluence', said to be pathognomonic for this tumor, is rarely encountered. The main pathology type is adenocarcinoma and the most of them are unilateral. The preoperation diagnosis rate is 9.30%.Multi-assistant methods didn't improve the diagnosis rate.Lymphadenectomy did't improve the survive rate of the primary fallopian tube cancer ,but it neeed to study a lot of patients.Postoperation assistant treatment improve survive rate dramatically than single operation.Clinical stage and postoperation residual tumor are important factors affecting the prognosis.
