Objective: To explore the morphology variety regularity of astrocytes and the expressive variety of NGF gene after diffuse brain leison and explore forensic medical signification of swollen and proliferated and the expressive variety of NGF gene. Methods: The pathological changes of astrocytes were studied by traditional HE staining, GFAP immunohisto-chemical staining and image analysis at the same time, for hemiquantita-tive analysis, RT -PCR method was used in the detection of the levels of MGF mRNA at 0, 3, 6, 12h and 1, 3, 5, 1,9, 11 day following diffuse brain leison. Results: The swelling and proliferation of astrocytes were early observed after diffuse brain leison .The degree of astrocytic swelling were gradually declined with prolonging survival time. While The level of NGF mRNA was low in the normal brain.But it was increased after diffuse brain leison. Conclusion: The pathological changes of astrocytes and the variety expression of NGF mRNA are regular, so it could be a useful mark of diagnosis time-course of diffuse brain leison. this experiment is significant to explore diagnosis time-Course of diffuse brain leison.
