| Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is the gram-negative spiral bacteria , it can invase the gastric mucosa and colonized. It is now widely accepted that H. pylori is a main cause of various gastrointestinal diseases. The H. pylori has infected more than 50% of the world' s population, Furthermore H. pylori has also been associated with extradigestive diseases , such as cardiovascular diseases and skin diseases, and in particular in autoimmune diseases. As we know infection can lead to infetility . Autoimmune diseases are an additional cause of infertility . It has been reported that human tubulin and H. pylori flagellin have a partial linear homology , bacterial proteins had stimulated ross-reactive antibodies. To the best of our knowledge, research on the possible association between H. pylori infection and fertility disorders is still scarcity, its relations to AsAb has never been investigated.ObjectivesTo determine the prevalence of H. pylori infection in female patients with reproductive disorders and controls. To detect the presence AsAb in samples of follicular fluid , vaginal secretions and serum of infertility patients.MethodsForty cases of female patients with infertility and fifty cases of age-matched controls collected from May 2002 to Jan 2004, were examined by immunosorbent assay (ELISA)and 13Cæ¡¿BT for H. pylori infection. The presence of AsAb in samples of follicular fluid .vaginal secretions and serum was determined using the same techniques.ResultsThe positive rates of anti- H. pylori IgG were 60% (24/40) in infertility groups and 36% (18/50) in controls, about 52.5% and 32.0 %were diagnosed H. pylori infection respectively in two groups. H. pylori positive rate in infertility patients was obviously higher than in controls (/KO. 05) . In twenty-one diagnosed of H. pylori infeced infertility patients, the positive rate of AsAbæ¡°gG / IgM in serum, follicular fluid and vaginal secretions was 57.1%, 52. 4%, 42. 8% and 61. 9%, 52.4%, 47. 6%; significant higher than that of 19 with no H. pylori infected infertility patients!5. 8%, 10.6%, 5.3% (KO. 05) and 21.1%, 10.6%, 10.6% mo. 05)0ConclusionsH. pylori infection is related with female infertility diseases.it may increase the risk of developing reproductive disorders. Positive rate of AsAbæ¡°gG / IgM in serum, follicular fluid and vaginal secretions of all H.pylori infected infertility patients is significant higher than normal , indicates that H. pylori infection may be one of causes of AsAb increasing. |
