Clinical Research Of Yutong Mixture On Primary Dysmenorrhea Of Type Of Blood Stasis Due To Cold

[Objective] To observe the clinical effect of Yutong Mixture on primary dysmenorrhea of the type of blood stasis due to cold and its safety. To render a new method for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea.[Methods] Eight-five patients with primary dysmenorrhea caused by blood stasis due to cold were chosen. They were divided into treatment group (?65) and control group (n=20) with simple, random and single-blind method. The patients in treatment group were given Yutong Mixture with l00mL per time and twice a day, while in control group given Tongjingbao Granule one pack per time and twice a day. Before and three menstrual cycles after the treatment, the scores and duration of abdominal pain, the scores of other symptoms and signs were recorded. The indexes of blood rheoiogy were also detected. The blood, urinary and stool routine test, BT, CT, OB, EKG and hepatic and renal function were all examed before and after treament.[Results] The total effective rates of dysmenorrhea in treatment and control group were 95.39% and 75.00% respectively with no difference between them (P>0.05). The total effective rates of TCM syndromes were 97.84% and 80.00% in treatment and control group respectively with obvious difference between them (PO.05). The high-sheard viscosity could be improved in both groups (P<0.01) and there were no difference between them (P>0.05). All the indexes for safety were normal before and after treatment.[Conclusion] Yutong Mixture has a definite therapeutic effect on this disease especially for the improvement of TCM clinical symptoms. It is worth widely using on clinic and researching deeply.
