Clinic Research On Calcaneal Fractures Treated With Percutaneous Reduction And External Plastic Splint Fixation

Purpose: Treatment of calcaneusis fractures with percutaneaus reduction and external plastic splint fixation an advanced is an advanced method of traditional treatment of calcaneusis fractures with percutaneaus reduction and kischner wire fixation.The shape changeable splint has fairly good biomechamical characteristics ,and has excellent shear and bending strength .So the patients can do exericises earlier ,and the function of the ankle can be restored earlier.We treated the patients with intra-articular fractures involving the subtalar joint with treatment of calcaneusis fractures with percutaneaus reduction and external splint fixation ,and comparied them with treated by operation, trying to find an ideal method which can reduce the patients' pain.Method: 60 case were divided into two groups of 30 each. The therapy group were treated with percutaneous reduction and external plastic splint fixation, and the control group were treated by operation. All the cases were followed up for 6~12 months, and the effectiveness and the incidence of complications of both groups wereelvolvated by the scores.Results and analysis:The result showed that the good and excellent rate of therapy group was better than that of controll group P<0.05. The incidence rate of complications of both groups were 16.7% and 43.3% respectively.Conclusion: Intra-articular fractures involving the subtalar joint can be treated with percutaneous reduction and plastic plint fixation well.
