It's no doubt that staphylococcus aureus(SA), pseudomonas aeruginosa (P.aeruginosa) and bacillus coli(E.coli) are the threats of burn patients. The studies of bacteriology in burn wounds display that the first two sorts are the fatal factors threaten burn patients. Silver sulfadiazine(SD-Ag) are commonly used to central the clinical infection of burn wound in recent thirty years. The mechanism of antibacterial of the silver ion that is the main antibacterial element is rely on the contact reaction. When the silver ions reached the corpuscle of microorganism, they could stick to and pass through the corpuscle of the microorganism via Kulon gravitation. Then the silver ion reacted with the SH-group and concreted the proteins of the microorganism. So the cells lost the ability of propagation and gradually to be death. The silver ions could also kin the microorganism by destroying electric-delivery system, respiratory system and material-delivery system of the microorganism.But the current silver ion products still exsit faults: First, the valence of the silver ion used was low, i.e, usually one or two valences. Second, the durability is not satisfied, because the current commercial antibacterial products will soon loss their capacity against bacteria duo to washing. Our high efficient and durable antibacterial fabric (HEDAF) (availabal elements is phosphoric acid electrolyte carried silver ) is not only much more efficient, but also much more durable , and no pollution to ecosystem environment. To evaluate the antibacterial action of our HEDAF on infection of burn wounds, we measure the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) via the twice dilution method, the bacteria counting under scars and the wound healing observation based on the infection model of burned rats.Results and conclusion: The results in vitro showed that the MIC of HEDAF to SA,P.aeruginosa,E.coli was 8,8,16μg/m1,and respectively the MBC to SA,P.aeruginosa,E.coli was 16,8,32μg/m1. The key elements of HEDAF possesses both bacteriostatic and bactericidal function as demonstration in a model of burn wound infection. Moreover, as compared with SD-Ag , HEDAF showed 4 times stronger capacity against SA,P.aeruginosa, and 2-4times against E.coli.The results in vivo showed that the number of bacteria under scars was 10 times lower on the wounds covered by HEDAF than by SD-Ag ,and even 100 times lower than by the usual aseptic fabric. Meanwhile the wound healing was apperently improved under the condition of HEDAF. SD-Ag have strong bactericidal ability against SA and E.coli, but have week bactericidal ability against P.aeruginosa. However the silver ion of HEDAF have higher valence ,i.e, Ag 3+ ,and this character significantly improve the fabric's antibacterial ability. Therefore, the number of bacteria under scars covered by HEDAF against P.aeruginosa was 6 times lower than that by SD-Ag .The highly efficiently durable antibacterial fabric has the same animal experiment result after washed 20 times. This can offer enduring basis of it's products.HEDAF is much more convenient than SD-Ag and no pollution to ecosystem environment.
