Affuse Chinese Traditional Medition Injection To Cure Chronic Sinusitis In Rabbits

Objective: To establish animal models of chronic maxillary in rabbit and cure them using Chinese traditional medition injection .choose proper medition as control,make hisologically and bacterologically examnation of mucosa analyze the result by the statistics way.Method: 27 New Zealand rabbit were select into the study .27 rabbit were included in the three experiment groups. 3 rabbits were remained as the normal control group. The experiment groups were opened the cranny on maxillary sinus front wall and planted glutin sponge in general anesthesia .Stitch the notch tightly.Inject 1010cfu/l staphylococcus aureus 0.5ml to the maxillary sinus the next day. Then breed them 5 weeks in normal conditions. The magnolia and fructus xanthii were made injection by the ways of the water vapour distillation and ethanol deposition .After 5weeks ,the skin on the cranny on maxillary sinus front wall of the experiment groups were denuded and disinfected .The sinuses were injected: (1) sodium chloride injection 2ml (2) gentamicin 2ml (3) magnolia injection 1ml and fructus xanthii injection 1ml. And repeat this in the 3, 5,7,9day. All rabbits were killed in the 14th day and opened the maxillary sinus .The secretion was fetched and planted in the substrate of blood .If we found bacteria ,we distinguished the kinds of them by G's dyeing .The mucosas of the maxillary sinusitis were brought out for scanning electron microscope and light microscope examination .The results of the light microscope examination were appraised by two specialist of pathology depended on the degree of edema , inflammation cells and epithelial change .Analyze the result with the statistics way of chi-square test .Result: bacteriology ,bacteric were found in the models of the group of sodium chloride of 12 sinustis , bacteric were found in the group of gentamicin of 10 sinustis ,the kinds of them were same ,they were Streptococcus penuminoae, α-Hemolytic streptoccus , Staphylococcus aureus,Haemophilus , influzenzae Escherichia coil, Klebsiella penumoniae. the group of magnolia and fructus xanthii 3 sinustis were found bacteric ,they were Streptococcus penuminoae and Staphylococcus aureus .we did not find bacteric in the normal control group.All the mucosas of the models were found　flammation,but the degree of it was different ,the mucosa of rabbit in the group of sodium chloride and the group of gentamicin display designs of moderate or severe inflammation such as mucosal infitration,with lymphocytes ,ciliary damage ,fibrosis, the group of magnolia and fructus xanthii display no inflammation or lightly designs. In scanning electron microscope ,we found slight cilium disoder ,disorientation , slight cilium falled off in some cells .In the heaver ,we found the desquamation of most cilia and replacement of microvilli and fibrosis. The result of the statistics: we used the way of chi-square test ,The result of bacteriology, (1),(2) group have no statistical signifiance,(p>0.05),(1),(3) and (2),(3) have statisticalsignificance.(p<0.01) The result of pathology:we found the difference efficiency rate in difference cure ways ,and used the way of chi-square test to appraised them (1),(2) group have no statistical signifiance,(p>0.05).(1),(3)and (2),(3) have statistical significance(p<0.01).Conclusion: It is an effective method by opening the cranny on maxillary sinus front wall and planting glutin sponge and injecting Staphylococcus aureus. It can be used to the study therapy. Affuse magnolia and fructus xanthii injection to cure chronic sinusitis is a better method.
