Objectives: With the change of disease spectrum, increase in health demands of people and the development of medical modes, simple improvement of survival rate and lifetime of patients (especially for the patients of chronic disease) hasn't currently fulfilled ones needs, and pursuit of the longest life time and the highest quality of life have become an ultimate target of human beings. Chronic hepatitis B is a chronic infectious disease, which can not be treated effectively until now. As people attach importance to the special crowds of chronic hepatitis B patients, medical workers and even the whole society have regarded their quality of life. Therefore, by the inquiry into the quality of life of a quantity of chronic hepatitis B patients in the three hospitals, Hefei City, the major influencing factors so as to lay the foundation of effective clinic health education and constitute a basis of improving the quality of life of the whole chronic hepatitis B crowds. Methods'. 240 chronic hepatitis B in-patients of the three hospitals in Hefei City were inquired by using SF-36 health questionnaire and the data were analyzed by using T-test, variance analysis and multivariant stepwise regression, etc. Results: Male or female patients have an obvious difference in both psychological function and mental health. The psychological state of female patients can be affected more easily with the diseases. The grades of the physiological function (PF) of the patients in city are obviously lower than those in country, mainly behaving in that the patients in city reduce more of their work time more than those in country after going to the bad. The age, medical history and cirrhosis have a large effect on the quality of life of the patients, which mainly behaves in the aspect of physiological health, mainly behaving in the aspect of mental health. The scale grades of physiological function (PF), RP and vitality (VT) of the young patients are all obviously higher than that of the older. The five scale grades of general health (GH), physiological function (PF), role limitations due to physical health (RP), body pain (BP) and social function (SF) of thepatients whose medical history are less than three years are all evidently higher than those of the patients whose medical history are greater than or equal to three years. The four scale grades of general health (GH), physiological function (PF), RP and vitality (VT) of non-cirrhosis patients are remarkably greater than those of cirrhosis patients. However, the scale grades of mental health scale of the three kinds of patients have no obvious difference. That is, there is no orthogonality between psychological function level and mental health of chronic hepatitis B patients; there is no evident difference in the quality of life of the patients with or without high educational status. Conclusion: When treating the chronic hepatitis B patients, medical workers should pay much attention to improve their mental trouble, especially to take a mental guide for female patients while to advise the male patients to have a rest. And for the patients in the country, medical workers should pay attention to improve their recognition extent to their bodies.
