Objectives: China' reform of medical care system has made a significant impact on undergraduates' health care system and their behavior of hospital visits has also been affected deeply at the same time. This article studied college students' health security situation and their behaviors of hospital visits, and some affecting factors were also analysed. Methods: Firstly, all the universities in Anhui Province were classified into three categories梞edical university, comprehensive university and the other; secondly, one university was chosen from each category by simple random sampling , and then stratified sampling was conducted in terms of grades among students in the chosen university, and a sample of 2200 undergraduats was selected randomly to conduct questionnaire survey . All data were inputted into the computer using the software of Epi info and t-test, one-way and multi-way analysis of variance, and rank sum test were conducted using SPSS to make statistical analysis. Results:(1) Prevalence rate of fortnight is 13.8%, which is lower than the average level 14.98% of our country; Prevalence rate of chronic disease in half a year is 6.0%, which is much lower than the average level 13. 2% of our country, grade, university, economic situation and other factors affect the prevalence rate to different extents. (2) The demand of students' for health service in order is out-patient clinic service, regular physical examination, hospitalization service, psychological counseling and health educationetc. their expectation about health service is high, 70. b% of students are unsatisfied, which is far higher than the average level 3. 8% of our country. Sex, grade, native place and university affect the degree of satisfaction on medical service deeply. (3) 66% of students surveyed have participated in medical insurance, the sense of joining medical insurance is poor,and sex and university affect the rate of medical insurance participation significantly. (4) the major medical facility for student seeking medical advice is school clinic, 34.5% of student, cann' t get regular therapy, and affecting factors are sex, native place, economic situation, educational background and career of parents, etc. (5) a certain proportion of students would like to buy OTC(over the count) by themselves when they feel ill, and therefore threw is a large demand for OTC on campus. Conclusions: put undergraduats' medical security system into national social safeguard program; choose optimul level of financing and safeguard pattern; especially, we should have special measures for poor students; reinforce the sense of insurance and health protection of students; raise the sense of serving and competition of health professional s; give services according to students' demand; open OTC dispensary on campus; give students guidance on right behavior of receiving medical treatment.
