Objective: To explore the NO metabolites, the expression of FasL protein and the apoptosis of brain cell of cortex in newborn rats with HIBD. To explore the effects of MgSO4 on them.Methods: To divide animals for experiment into three groups.1. NO test group: Animals were divided into sham group , NS group and MgSO4 group. NO metabolites were measured at 4d after hypoxia ischemia by using NO nitric acid reductase method.2. Immunohistochemistry group and TUNEL group: Animals were divided into sham group, NS group and MgSO4 group. The changes of expression of FasL protein was detected on 4d after hypoxia-ischemia by using immunohistochemistry. The changes of apoptosis of brain cell was detected on 4d after hypoxia-ischemia by using TUNEL methods.Results: comparing with the sham group, the concentration of NO metabolites, the expression of FasL protein and the quantity of apoptosis increased obviously in the ligated side of the brain cortex (p < 0.05). comparing with NS group, they were on the contrary in MgSO4 group (p < 0.05 ) .Conclusion: the concentration of NO metabolites, the expression of FasL protein and the quantity of cell apoptosis became higher rapidly after HIBD.MgSO4 can refrain the production of NO, the expression of FasL protein andapoptosis of brain cell.
