Objective To explore the diagnostic value of anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) antibody and anti-Sa antibody in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).Methods To abstract Sa antigen from human placentas and detect anti-Sa antibody by Western blotting in 105 RA patients, 120 rheumatic diseases other than RA patients and 20 healthy persons. And the anti-CCP was detected by ELISA in the same patients .To compare the correlation among the anti-Sa antibody* anti-CCP and other antibodies in RA.Results The sensitivity of anti-Sa antibody was 41.0%.but with high specificity (96.6%) and the sensitivity of anti-CCP was 92.4% ,the specificity was 94.2% in RA. Anti-CCP is associated with anti-Sa antibody and they are also associated with APF, AKA.Conclusions Anti-CCP and anti-Sa antibody present reasonable sensitivities with high specificities to RA and they are valuable to RA diagnosis. There are highly specificity, when the two antibodies were used together .(specificity was 100%.) Anti-CCP and anti-Sa antibody could be detected in early RA. the Anti-CCP testing data and anti-Sa antibody have positive correlations .Anti-CCP and anti-Sa antibody are associated with APF,AKA.
