Experiment Study In Treatment Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome By "Duo Nang Ping" Capsule

Objective: To investigate the effects Duonangping in rats with polycystic ovary and to explore the passible machanism and to compare the effects between Duonangping and metformin . To explore there are some more important machanism that have something to do with hyperandrogenism in PCOS besides hyperinsulin .Method:50 female SD rats on age 70 days where randomly distributed into five groups . The pco rat models where set up by twice daily administered subcutaneously insulin and hCG in 22 days .After pouring Duonangping "metformin and distilled water respectively for 14 days , (Vena supraorbitalis ) To have blood in Vena supraorbitalis and to detect the level of serum Testosterone,insulin and leptin by radioimmunoassay ,to calculater the total areas under insulin tolerance curves .Daily vaginal semars were obtained to evaluate individual cyclicity . To observe the changes in the ovarian morphology and histology .Results: TO set up pco rat models .The level of serum Testosterone decreased obviously in pco rats pouring DNPand pco rats pouring metformin , but the level of serum insulin in pco rats pouring metformin significantly decreased and the level of serum leptin in pco rats pouring DNP obviously decreased .The total areas under insulin tolerance curves in pco rats was significantly higer than in pco DNP ,pco metformin and combined treatment rats, also the weight in these three groups reduceded . There were three rats having cyclicity in DNP groups , and two in metformin groups and three in combined groups .Conclusions: Duonangping capsule can decrease the level of serum Testostrone , insulin ,the areas under OGTT curves especially reduce thelevel of serum testostrone , so it can be used in hyperandrogenism .To compare with metformin , the effects of decreasing the level of serum insulin for Duonangping is not good enough . so we can conclusion there are some important roles in pcos being hyperandrogenism besides hyperinsulin . In pco Duonangping groups there are significantly reducing of weight , and there are some rats recover cyclicity .Therefore , we inference that obset have relations with and Duonangping have more machanisms in pcos .
