Mycoplasal Pneumonia (MpP) is one of the most common causes of chronic cough in children. It's different from common pneumonia. Studying its characters of manifestations and exploiting its therapy are very essential to shorten its course and prevent its relapse . We researched MpP preliminarily through the retrospective and prospective study. The results have suggested: 1. The attack of MpP is similar to that of Feng-Wen, but there are some differences between them . Wei and Qi phase syndromes are the main types. It seldom affects Ying-blood and develops. 2. Wind-heat attacking the lung and Phlegm-heat retaining in the lung are the main types of MpP . Babies and infants who get MpP are more serious, the percentage of Wind-heat tightening the lung and phlegm-heat stagnating in the lung types is higher than other age groups . 3. MpP's SIL-2R is high and is associated with its types. The scores of Wind-heat tightening the lung and phlegm-heat stagnating in the lung are higher than those of Wind-heat attacking the lung and phlegm-heat retaining in the lung, and the deficiency of Qi and Ying's is the lowest. 4. Blood stasis removing therapy is more effective to the type of phlegm-heat retainining in the lung than the others. It can shorten the course evidently and promote the physical signs to disappear.
