[Objective) Carrying out floating propagandizing for STD/AIDS in construction sites to improve the building workers" understanding of the correlative knowledge of STD/AIDS. to enhance the correlated knowledge level of STD/AIDS among objective population, to explore a set of intervention model of AIDS, which has universal guidance meaning aiming at floating population and weak population in cities.[Methods] The intervention plan using motor floating propagandizing for STD/AIDS was carried out among target population in 10 construction sites, which were chosen in Chengdu City. The content of intervention included: holding a meeting among building workers, individual consultation in floating propagandizing motor, distributing diversiform material relevant to AIDS and condoms; showing video tape, putting propagandizing boards for STD/AIDS. training accompanierpropagandist, and so on. The statistical methods, such as t test, x2 test, analysis ofcovariance, were used to evaluate the effect of floating propagandizing for STD/AIDS.[Results] The floating propagandizing for STD/AIDS intervention among building workers basically achieved goal. After the intervening measures were implemented, the target population's related knowledge of AIDS had been increased; after deduction the infection of age and the years of education, the difference of the correlative knowledge level of STD/AIDS between two groups population had statistical significance.[Conclusion] Through floating propagandizing for STD/AIDS, the floating population's correlative knowledge level of AIDS in the construction sites had been improved greatly, their attitude and behaviors had been improved too, and achieved expected goal; established the viable model of STD/AIDS prevention among the vulnerable population.
