Objective:To explore the nature of pathology of sluggishness of lung-wei and offer objective experimentation indexes for Weifen syndrome..Methods:According to the design of completely random design, the levels of vasoactive intestinal polypeptide(VIP),thromboxanes B2(TXB2)and 6-keto-prostaglandin F1а(6-Keto-PGF1а) were detected by radioimmunoassay(RIA),and the plasma levels of VIP,TXB2 and 6-Keto-PGF1а at different focuses or different stages of Weifen syndrome were observed,at the same time, the value of TXB2/6-Keto-PGF1а(T/P)was observed.Result:①The plasma levels of VIP in the early and late stage of weifen syndrome both increased greatly(P<0.01),but didn't increase as much as in Qifen syndrome ,and the difference between Weifen syndrome and Qifen syndrome was significant(P<0.01)(Table 3 and Table6),indicating VIP may be an index reflecting Weifen syndrome's nature. ②The plasma level of TXB2 only at the late stage of Weifen syndrome was higher than the blank group and the early stage(P<0.01). while at different stages of Qifen syndrome, there was no significant difference(P>0.05), and there was no significant difference either, compared with the blank group(P>0.05)(Table 6 and Table 7).This suggested that TXB2 might be an index reflecting the late stage of Weifen syndrome . The value of 6-Keto-PGF1а was much lower than reference standard, that made it inconvenient to observe the value of T/P. ③As for the levels of VIP and TXB2 in the different foci of Weifen syndrome, there were no siginficant difference(P>0.05), and there were no siginficant differences in the levels of VIP and TXB2 between early and late stage of Qifen syndrome(P>0.05)(Table 5 and Table 7). These indicated that VIP and TXB2 might be indexes reflecting Weifen syndrome, and the foci might have no influence on it ④The levels of VIP and TXB2 in the late stage of Weifen syndrome were much higher than Qifen syndrome (P<0.01)(Table 4),indicating that VIP and TXB2 might be related to the open and close of the defensive-qi action. Conclusion:VIP and TXB2 might be the microcosmic indexes which can reflect the pathology of Weifen syndrome, and they might be material foundations of sluggishness of lung-wei.
