Rosa bracteata wendl. var. bracteata is a species of Rosa L. (Rosaceae). It extensively distributes in the provinces of central and south China, its fruit is traditionally used for treating long-lasting diarrhea, prolapse of the anus and uterus, spermatorrhea, dropsy of the lower limbs, and so on.The chemical constituents of Rosa bracteata were studied again.Four compounds were isolated from the fruits of the plant by extract and silica gel column chromatography, three of them had been identified as known compounds, namely, trimethyl citrate, dimethyl citrate, monomethyl citrate, by determinations of physical constants, LC-MS analysis and spectral analysis (including UV, IR, 1H-NMR, 13-NMR) .Three compounds were obtained from genus Rosa L. for the first time.
