Objective: In order to estimate the value of ultra-fine particle of Whitman on treating early cerebral infarction disease and protecting acute ischemically injured mice brain, and explore their mechanisms.Methods: 63 cases of early cerebral infarction disease were divided into 3 groups: group A , 21cases,treated with normal medicine,group B, 21cases,treated with normal medicine and bigger particle of Whitman,group C , 21 cases,treated with normal medicine and ultra-fine particle of Whitman, The clinical symptom before and after treatment was observed, and also the level of blood SOD,MDA, vWF,GMP-140 was observed.Mice were pre-treated with ultra-fine or bigger particle of Whitman , then they were experimented to be acute ischemically injured brain models, the level of bloodSOD,MDA,ET, MPAR was observed, And also observed their brain preparations.Results :the total clinic effective rate of group C and B was higher than that of group A(p<0.01,0.05).The cure and marked effective rate of group C was higher than that of group B(p<0.05).The improvement of blood SOD,MDA,vWF,GMP-140 of group C was better than that of group B(P<0.05,0.01);and that of group B was better than that of group A(p<0.05,0.01).Animal experiment showed that two kinds of particle could reduce the level of blood MDA,ET,MPAR,and improve the Level ofSOD,and reduced the degree of injured mice brain tissue. The protection in ultra-fine particle pre-treated mice was more effective than that in bigger particle pre-treated ones.Conclusion: Ultra-fine particle of Whitman was more effective in treating cerebral infarction disease than bigger particle of Whitman ,and it can effectively protect ischemically injured mice brain; There were serious vascular endothelium injury,platelet activition,lipid peroxidation in both cerebral infarction patients and mice of ischemiclly injured brain. Ultra-fine particle of Whitman was more effective in improving them. This study primarily explore the michanism of Whitman in treating cerebral infarction disease.
