Aim: To investigate the relationship between the serum TBA, GLDH levels and the inflammation degree of liver tissue of patients with chronic hepatitis; to probe their value in evaluation of inflammation degree of liver tissue. Method: 43 patients with chronic hepatitis were performed liver puncture and the tissue's histology was studied and the serum of levels of TBA, GLDH, ALT, AST, TB, A were tested at the same time. The patients were divided to 4 groups according to inflammation degree of liver tissue. The results of serum biochemical test were compared between each two groups.Result: The serum TBA levels were 16.98+21.98, 20.48+26.13 and 26.69+28.94 at various inflammation degree of liver tissue(Gl, G2 and G3)respectively, and there are no significant difference between every two groups (P>0.05). The serum GLDH levels were 12.75+10.98, 14.64+6.74 and 28.67+41.89 at various inflammation degree of liver tissue(Gl, G2 and G3)respectively, and there were no obviously difference between every two groups (P>0.05).The serum ALT levelswere 70.6+43.94, 167.82+135.07 and 161.75+129.21respectively, at various inflammation degree of liver tissue(Gl, G2 and G3)respectively, and there were obviously difference between every two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion: The results show that there was significant different among various different ALT levels groups(Gl, G2 and G3),but the case wasn't the same about TBA and GLDH .The study indicate that the serum ALT levels may inflect the inflammation degree of liver tissue of the patients with chronic hepatitis ,whereas TBA and GLDH levels probably not be valuable to inflect inflammation degree of liver tissue have no significant difference. The result shows that serum ALT level may indicate inflammation degree of liver tissue, whereas TBA and GLDH level may not be valuable to indicate inflammation degree of liver tissue.
