The teeth with post has become popular in clinical because the effectiveness and predictability of endodontically therapy has increased since the 1950s. The restorative of endodontically treated has become a great challenge to restorative dentistry. The traditional standpoint think the teeth with thorough endodontically therapy restored by the post on account of the fellow reasons. The first, the post supports the tooth by distributing coronal forces to the root or alveolar bone and increasing the rigidity of the toot provides resistance to bending; the second, the post provides the retention for the crown restorative. However, there were some controversy on that the post could change the stress distribution effectively in dental and the relationship between the stress distribution in dental and the post design in recent thirty years.Base the past research, the article analysis the stress distribution of the teeth restored with different materials by establish the three dimensional model of the maxillary central incisor and finite element analysis, and compare the stress distribution with the traditional materials and the new materials that has been used in the clinic. In addition, the article study the stress distribution in the dentalwith different height of alveolar bone in post crown to comprehend the relationship between the support constitution and .the teeth fracture. By simulating the height of alveolar ridge and reducing l/4, 1/3, 1/2 of the height to set up modified model under static loading, the dentin stress was analyzed. The results showed: â‘ the stress was recorder mainly in the corona thirds of the root, and the value of the stress was more larger more closer to the root surface. The significant concentration of stress was occurred in the cervical of the facial. â‘¡Of the four materials, the stress of the traditional Co-Cr alloy post was the smallest, and the Carbon-fiber reinforced resin post was the largest. â‘¢There are transparent stress concentration at the interface between the post and the dental, especially the traditional Co-Cr alloy. The results reveal the traditional Co-Cr alloy post application yielded the best result, but the difference was not very obviously compare other three materials. â‘£ The stress distribution had an increasing tendency when the height of alveolar decrease and the maximum stress recorded in the coronal thirds of the root. The changing of the stress of each part of the interface of teeth and post was similar to the changing of each part of the teeth, and the value of the stress was more larger more closer to the root surface. The significant concentration of stress was occurred in the cervical of the facial. The study indicated the change of alveolar ridge' s height will affect the stress change of teeth restored with post and crown, and which is in an inverse proportion.
