Objective :To explore the association between HLA-DRB1 and Systematic Lupus Erythematosus of Zhuang Nationality in Guangxi. Methods: Polymerase chain reaction-sequence specific primers technique(PCR-SSP) was used to comparatively study the allelic genes in HLA-DRB1 locus in 52 patients with SLE and 70 randomly selected, unrelated healthy controls of Zhuang subjects from Guangxi. Results: The allelic frequencies of HLA-DRB1*1401 and HLA-DRB1*16 were significantly less in SLE patients than those of the controls ( RR=0.2813, x2=5.0024, P=0.0252 and RR=0.3889 , x2=3.9527 , P=0.0466 ) .The HLA-DRB1*08,-DRB1*11 and-DRBl*13 alleles were notfound in all subjects tested. Conclusion : Our data suggested that the HLA-DRB1*1401 and HLA-DRB1*16 alleles may involve in the genetic pathogenesis of SLE and might be protecting genes for SLE in Guangxi Zhuang nationality. Susceptible gene was not found in our study. |
