| Objective:①To observe wether or not there was difference on homocysteine between the aged patient and the healthy middle-ager and youth,to observe relation of homocysteine and folate,VitB12.②To analyse wether or not there was difference on homocysteine in the aged patient with vascular disease of different parts.To analyze wether or not there was difference on homocysteine in the aged patient with diabetes and without diabetes. To analyse whether or not there was difference on homocysteine in the aged patient with active and inactive vascular disease.③To study correlativity among homocysteine,plasma lipoproptein and hemocogulation in the aged patient. Methods:The 80 aged patients who were older than 60 years were chosen as object(male 58 cases,female 22 cases,from 64 to 84 years old,mean 73.13±4.66 yeas old).These patients had been diagnosed as vascular disease,which included hypertension, coronary heart disease,cerebral infarct, noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus,etc,according to their sympotoms,signs and assistant examinations(lipoprotein,blood sugar,hemocogulation,blood pressure,electrocardiogram,echocardiogram,moving-test,tho-rax X-ray, coronary artery angiography,TCD,head CT,MRI,ect). At the same time,16 healthy persons who had been proved to be healthy through health examination were chosen as the control group(male 8 cases,female 8 cases,from 47 to 72 years old,mean 61.31±1.80 yeara old).All of the patients were divided into different groups by three ways:1 All of the objects were divided into suffering from cardiovascular disease group(group A),cerebrovascular disease group(group B),both A and B group(group C)in term of different vascular disease.To observe whether or not there was difference on homocysteine among the three groups,and to analyze the variety of homocysteine in diferent vascular disease.2 All of the objects were divided into suffering from NIDDM group(group D),not suffering from NIDDM group(group E). To observe whether or not there was difference on homocysteine between the two groups,and to analyze the effect of Hcy on vascular injury of NIDDM.3 All of the objects were divided into suffering from active vascular disease group(group F)and inactive vascular disease group(group G) according to evolvement of vascular disease.To observe whether or not there was difference on homocysteine between the two groups,and to analyze relation between Hcy and evolutional vascular injury.Of all the patients,those who had been suffering from vascular disease for a few years,and hadn't obviously sympotoms of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease lately,whose allkinds of assistant examinations were normal or hadn't obviously trend of deterioration compared with those former results belonged to group G.Whereas,the rest belonged to group F.Fasting Venous blood of 5ml was phlebotomized early in the morning and resisted coagulation by 2% EDTA-Na.The sample was centrifugated(3000rpm,5minutes) after one hour and the plasma was taken from the sample to be reserved at -30oC.Homocysteine was determined quantification-ally with STE Assay and the reagent box was bought from Shanghai KangChen Biotechnology Company.Folate was determined quantificationally with RIA Assay and the reagent box was bought from Beijing FuRui Biotechnology Company. VitB12 was determined quantificationally with chemiluminescence assay and the reagent box was bought from Beijing kangda Bakeman Technology Company. TG,TC was determined quantificationally with oxidase assay and LDL,HDL,VLDL was determined quantificationally with direct clearance assay.The two kinds of reagent boxes was bought from Shanghai Kehua Dongling Diagnostic Products Company.FIB, AT-III was determined quantificationally with TIA Assay and the reagent box was bought from Beijing Leadman Biochemistry Technology Company.Data were shown with mean±standard error and statistically analyse with Software package of SPSS Ver 11.0.T test was used to compare the mean of two groups and ANOVA was used tocompare the mean of multigroups.Biva...
