Cervical spondylosis is a common and reocurrent disease in the cervical-surgical medicine. There're many kinds of treatments for this disease including conservative treatments (such as manipulation, traction and western medicine combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine) and operation. The conservative treatments are mostly used. By invigorating of blood circulation, dispersing blood stasis and dredging collateral, Choosing proper Traditional Chinese medicine, we're probed into how to improve the mechanism of cervical spondylosis by means of theory, clinical practice and experiments. The study shows that cervical spondylosis is closely connected with blood stasis and invigorating of blood circulation and dispersing blood stasis treating different kinds of cervical spondylosis produces obvious effects. The patients of CS are studied. The "Ge Gen Si Chong Tang" is used to cure the patients of CS on study. The results show that this treatment can produce a satisfactory effect and the total effective rate is 96.8%, which is apparently higher then that of the control group 75% (P<0.05) .However the clinical effect of the spinal cord type of CS is unsatisfactory. There's no appropriate experiment-model to be used for reference at present. Based on the pathogenesis of CS, we design the animal-experiment model and engage in the experiment. In view of experiment, the results show the prescription has the anti-inflammatorg and analyesic effect, and it can ameliorate the disturbance of microcirculation and hemody ncmics and so it proves that the treatment of invigorating of blood circulation, dispersing blood stasis and dredging collateral is effective and scientific. Discussion about problems concerned with the study has been carried out acconding to western medicine and Tnaditional Chinese Medicine.
