Objective:To investigate the correlation between pathological types,CT appearance and age,sex clinical significance in Central-type lung carcinomas.MethodsiCT scanning was done in 50 cases of central-type lung carcinomas, which were confirmed by pathological examination statistical controlled study was done on age, sex,CT appearance and pathological types.Results:1.The squamous cell carcinoma(56%)is the most common pathological types in central-type lung cancer, the second one(42%)is the small cell carcinoma,adenocarcino-ma(2%)is the rare pathological type.2.The incidence rate of male patients with the central-type lung carcinomas was much higher than that of female patients with the central-type lung carnom-as.No significant differences between squamous cell carcinoma and undifferentiated small cell anaplastic car-cinoma(P>0.05)in sexes.3.There are significant differences between the squamous cell carcinoma and the small cell carcinoma in ages(P<0.05),The occurrence of the lung carcinoma in the squamous cell carcinoma most were the elder, but that in the small cell carcinoma were comparatively the young.4.The common penetration portion in central-type lung carcinoma are bronchus peristome in both right and left upper lobes and lower lobes, less shown in middle lobes,no significant differences between the squamous cell carcinoma and small cell carcinoma in penetration portion(P>0.05).5.The most common clinical symptoms in the central-type lung carcinoma are cough, chest tightness and chest pain, hemoptysis, hoarseness and dyspn-ea.They are 100% ,60%,30%and 10% respectively. No significant differences in clinical symptoms in the squamous cell carcinoma and small cell anaplastic carcinoma(P>0.05).6.No significant differences in lobulated sign between the squamous cell carcinoma and small cell carcinoma(P>0.05).in early stage bronchial obstruction is a common symptoms in the squamous cell carcinoma and rare in the small anplastic cell carcinoma.7.It is investigated in bilateral hilar lymph node, carina lymph node and posterior lymph nodes of venacava which is the most common lymph node enlarge-ment in central-type lung carcinomas.CT can definitely show the relationship between tumor and tissue around it. ConclusioniThere are some correlation between pathological type and sex,age and CT appearance.
