Study Of The Chemical Components From Gentiana Apiata

The chemical constituents of the Gentians apiata have been protested systematically by means of tube-test. It was found that the Gentiana apiata contain lactones, coumarins, flavonoids, alkaloids, phytosterols and terpenoids, organic acids, tannins, phenols, proteins, carbohydrates, volatile oils, fats and some other chemical constituents by preliminary study. Through solvent extraction, column chromatography, Sephadex LH-20 and other means, four compounds were isolated from the Gentiana apiata. Their chemical structures were elucidated as isoorientin( I), gentiopicrin (II), apiatoside ACQD and apiatobiose (IV) by the chemical reaction and spectral means (IR, 'H-NMR, ^ONMR, MS) , which were obtained from the plant for the first time. HI and IV are new compounds.
