Spinal cord injury (Sd) is frequently encountered in clinical practice, which often leads to the body handicap and various kinds of complications, even threatens the lives of the patients. Secondary lesion caused by early ischemia of SCI is one of primary factors that result in serious consequence. Therefore, it is an important subject to develop early effective treatment to alleviate the damage of spinal cord secondary lesion. In the experiment, the animal model of SCI in Wistar rats is established. By applying electopuncture treatment to Jia Ji points, the author has observed its effect on changing the content of two therapeutic parameters, which are endothelin (ET) and thromboxane A2 (TXA2) in the injury piece of spinal cord tissue. The result is Jia Ji electopuncture can obviously change the content of endothelin (ET) and thromboxane B2 (TXB2) which is the metabolism product of thromboxane A2 (TXA2). It proves sufficiently that Jia Ji electopuncture has good effect on alleviating the damage of spinal cord secondary lesions. The process is finished through inhibiting the synthesis of ET and TXA2, promoting and improving the microcirculation of the injury piece of spinal cord tissue, and stabilizing the construct of the cell membrane. Consequently, it prevents the thrombosis or embolism in the micrangium and decreases the death of cells. The article has also preliminarily probed into the early stage mechanism of electopuncture to SCI, which also provides theoretic evidences for its clinical treatment.
