With the aim of offering scientific basis for their promotion and application, Sedum sarmentosum, Sedum lineare, Sedum spectabile and Sedum aizoon are adopted to study the change of exterior characteristics, survival rate as well as the physiological biochemistry characteristics under the waterlogging stress. The landscape application of the four Sedum spp. in the experiment was introduced. The main results are shown as follows:1. During the course of waterlogging experiment, the exterior characteristics of the four Sedum spp. Changed with the stress time gone on. The reaction time of the leaves wilting, turning yellow, drying-up and dropping was different. The change degree was also different. On the whole, the injury degree of four Sedum spp. from the high to low was: all submerge waterlogging disposal>semi-submerge waterlogging disposal>control.2. During the course of waterlogging stress experiment, the PRO content, soluble sugar content, relative electric conductivity, the SOD activity increased with the stress time of the four Sedum spp. gone on. On the contrar, the soluble protein content and chlorophyll content content deceased with the stress time gone on.3. After drain, the livability of four Sedum spp. was descended. After 28days drain, Sedum sarmentosum and Sedum lineare with waterlogging stress were all died. The livability of Sedum spectabile and Sedum aizoon was 38.3% and 30.1% decline. The livability of Sedum sarmentosum, Sedum lineare, Sedum spectabile, Sedum aizoon with half waterlogging stress was declined by 32.7% , 29.4%, 6.3%, 4.8% than the last day of waterlogging.4. By making use of principal components analysis and subordinate function analysis at the basis of the indexes above, results showed that the waterlogging tolerance of the four Sedum spp. from strong to weak were as follow: Sedum aizoon>Sedum spectabile>Sedum lineare >Sedum sarmentosum.5. The garden application for 4 types of experimental plants in the Genus Sedum had been reasearched, and main application methods were as follows: landscaping of roof and wall, landscaping of highway and slope, landscaping of rock garden and landscaping of flower bed and border. The results were as followed as the experiment, the high resisting to waterlogging stress ability was Sedum aizoon and Sedum spectabile, they can be used in wich and waterfront. The low resisting to waterlogging stress ability was Sedum lineare and Sedum sarmentosum, they were avoided to use in poor drainage and waterlogged areas.
