Evaluation Of Urban Forest In Yangpu Economic Development Zone

With the increase of urban population and rapid industrial development, urban ecological environment is deteriorating so as to hamper the sustainable urban development. Urban forest system is believed to help maintain and improve urban environment quality, in turn to promote of urban social and economic development as well as the harmonization between human beings and the nature in cities or towns.Status and planning of urban forest evaluation of urban development layout of forest ecosystems and ecological is the processes that formed and maintained by the natural conditions of human life and utility of scientific evaluation. The goal is to establish scientifically measured Construction in urban forest planning and development layout and evaluation system building on the status of urban forest planning and development and evaluation of the layout, positioning the city function, urban sustainable development planning, provide basis for government policy-making.This essay is based on Yangpu Economic Development Zone. Followed the systematic, scientific, representativeness, feasibility and comparability, Yangpu Economic Development Zone has established the principles of urban planning and development of forest status and distribution of building evaluation system using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) the weight of each index.According to these established evaluation index system of the Yangpu Economic Development Zone Construction in urban forest planning and development layout and evaluation, the results show that the construction of Yangpu Economic Development Zone status and urban forest planning and development layout is 0.628, including structural, functional index, landscape pattern of indicators, economic indicators, social indicators and indicators of protection and management, respectively is 0.146,0.229,0.148,0.033,0.031,0.041. It is therefore concluded that the urban forest in Yangpu Economic Development Zone generally stands up to urban forest for a new coastal industrial zone.Yangpu Economic Development Zone urban forest can improve the following aspects of the ecological environment in urban forest service capabilities:Firstly, it could protect the existing green zone and reduce the urban construction in the process of destruction; secondly, it could increase the number of indicators, such as the function of improving the industrial area and residents'areas. Such as the green road green belt area; thirdly it could improve the quality of indicators, mainly for the excellent choice of plant species and reasonable configuration mode. It is recommended that such tree species as Cocos nucifera Linn., Ficus microcarpa Linn.f., Acacia mangium and Acacia confuse Mer, could be selected as the tone species for the urban forest of Yangpu.The present study established an evaluation system including indexes and criteria for the assessment of the urban forest in Yangpu Economic Development Zone, which then was applied in practical evaluation activity. The results of the evlaluation study is believed of good value for the local government in their future urban forest development planning and implementation as well as to other cities in similar practices. The methodology and the index and criteria system developed in the present study are good references for urban forest evaluation studies elsewhere.
