In this paper, seedling bank structure and dynamics of the main dominant tree species in Beijing Dongling oak forest has been studied. Meanwhile a number of biological and abiotic environmental factors which effect the seedling bank were examined.In the forest with the main disturbance of gap, climax tree species often form seedling bank, long-standing populations of seedlings. Seedling bank is very important for the regeneration of forest, the research of the seedling bank structure, dynamics and other aspects will help understand the overall status and the future development trends of forest communities.We studied response variance of three dominant species to different light and water level in Liaodong oak forest and effects of enviroment factors to structure and dynamic in seedling bank were reserched. Meanwhile we analysed variance of seedling bank of different species and seasonal dynamics.The results show that Acer mono seedlings from seeds is more important in seedling regeneration. Oak seedling bank shows more stable seasonal dynamics. Acer mono seedling bank shows significant positive trends. Oak seedlings in good light and water conditions show stronger growth potential. Acer mono seedlings which has a more extensive adaptability can survive in strong shade conditions.
