| The greening of urban roads is an important part of urban greening, and is an important way to greening environment and make the city more beautiful. This paper reports the result of Field trips for 26 major roads greening site in the City of Hohhot, calculates leaf area index and Simpson index, studies the ecological function effectiveness, landscape function effectiveness and economic benefits quantitatively according to the methods to access and measure landscape effectiveness, and evaluate the comprehensive benefits on the road using AHP. Gradeâ… deciduous tree with Sophora japonica, Golden Bough Sophora japonica, Populus and Salix, etc.â… level with evergreen trees and juniper Sabina .â… level deciduous shrubs are lilac, forsythia and Sorbaria 3.â… level evergreen shrub Sabina ball and arborvitae.â… level to be a kind of plants chinensis. These plants have strong adaptability and resistance in Hohhot, having the better of landscape effect, which should be the preferred species of this city's road greening.
