| To understand the connection of wheat PPO activities and sprouting ratio in China,and to select variesties with steady and low PPO activities,using sepectro- photometer to tested the PPO activites in Wheat.Six wheat varieties (strains) were combined to form twenty-one groups with diallel crossâ…¡. To study and the analysis of the wheat,inclucding the correlation of the polyphenol oxidase(PPO) activity and pre-harvest sprouting,GCA,SCA and heritability of the PPO activity.The rerults showed as follows:1,The span of distributing of Sproting ratio of Wheat cultivars was wide,sproting ratio mainly distributed in 10%-30%.However,the span of distributing of PPO activity was gently,the activity intently distributed in 65-105.2,To study and the analysis of the polyphenol oxidase(PPO) activity and pre-harvest sprouting of wheat,were high significantly correlated and the coefficient was 0.291,achieved markedness level.This suggested that the polyphenol oxidase activity and pre-harvest sprouting of the wheat was controlled by PPO activity.3,To study and the analysis of the diallel-cross material,were high significantly correlated.GCA and SCA significantly different.It indicated that the PPO activity and pre-harvest sprouting of wheat was controlled by both additive and non-additive gene.The analysis and comparison of GCA and SCA effects revealed that the general combination ability(GCA) of different parents and the special combination ability(SCA) of polyphenol oxidase(PPO) activity and pre-harvest sprouting differed greatly.The evaluation of breeding values of parents and the selection of cross combination should base on the variance analysis of GCA and SCA. |
