Quercus variabilis is widely distributed in more than 20 provinces and regions in North, Northwest, Central, South, Southwest of China. Because of its resistance and wide adaptability, Quercus variabilis is one of the main tree species in the region. In this paper, aim at the seed storage problems, using the ABA soaking and traditional storage, cold storage and so on; aim at growth slow in initial seeding, using GGR6 soaking seeds, rare earth nitrate soaking and spraying. During the study, I determined the annual growth pattern of seedlings, chlorophyll content, root growth, diurnal variation of other indicators during storage. The conclusions following down:The regressing equation between seed moisture content and viability is Y=-0.0606X2+8.5377 X-215.42. The LMC50 of Quercus is 46.31%. It's recalcitrant seed.Quercus best seed storage temperature 0-2℃; ABA can extend the time of seed dormancy, delayed germination; reduce seed soluble sugar, protein consumption; increased protective enzymes, to maintain the structure stability of cell membrane to maintain the seed viability.Quercus best seeding rate was 650kg/mu, mulching can improve the germination rate of seeds and autumn germination; GGR6 can improve seed germination, seedling height, diameter, biomass, the best application of the concentration is 30mg/g-40mg/g; nitrate solution of rare earth can improve the cork oak seed germination, promotion of height, diameter, biomass, leaf area growth, optimize the cork oak root structure, improving fibrous lateral roots in the total root length in proportion. Optimal concentration of 0.15%, the best application method is spraying.
