| Qin, sounding old, clear, and vigorous, plain, is China's most ancient music instrument, as well as representative of traditional Chinese music instruments. Qin panel selection and processing is very important, determining the sound quality. Good Qin mostly uses the panels made from old trees. As a limited number of old trees, it is of great significance to find a substitute material. Therefore, more researches on Qin panel are very important. By the inspiration "Qin Jiao Wei", we have used treated timber to make Qin and resulted a better sound. Experiment results showed that timber treated with high-temperature heat treatment resulted a better sound than that without any treatment.In the research, China fir cut in the current year(A), been cut down and kept for 100 years (B) and for about 2000 years (C) were raw materials. Physical properties, anatomy, composition tests and acoustic performance were done on these materials. Then, holding for 2 h in different end temperatures: 120℃(a),140℃(b),160℃(c),180℃(d),200℃(e) and 220℃(f),to process high temperature heat treatment China fir. The acoustic performance of heat treatment wood was compared with the test results above. Furthermore, the impact of the high temperature heat treatment material conditions effect on the wood acoustic performance was explored.The conclusions were as follows:The acoustic quality of high temperature heat treatment China fir decreased in the order:f, e. d,c,b,a,A, which fit assessment of Qin's sound quality. it could be concluded that the overall effort of high-temperature heat-treated China fir was better than 100 years keeping ones, even better than the old China fir. |
