Botanical pesticides are low toxic,safety and pollution-free in traditional conception. In order to test the view, acute toxicity to Coturnix coturnix japonica, Brachydonio rerio, Apis mellifera L and Bombyx mori Linaeus were tested for five botanical pesticides which including Azadirachtin, Pyrethrins, Rotenone, Matrine and Cnidiadin, respectively, in the laboratory, according to the pesticide safety evaluation method on non-target organisms from'Environmental Safety Evaluation of Chemical Pesticide Test Criteria', to estimate the environmental securities of the five pesticides. Consulting the toxicity degrees and the division standards, defining the toxic levels and toxic degrees of the five pesticides and evaluating the environmental toxic effects on non-target organisms. The results show that LC50(48 h)of the actue oral toxicity of Azadirachtin, Pyrethrins, Rotenone, Matrine and Cnidiadin on Apis mellifera L are:0.02,0.71,1 105.29,>1820,>2 OOOmg/L; LD50(168 h) on Coturnix coturnix japonicas are:13.09,97.04,111.75,> 73.00,>208.00 mg/kg·bw; LC50(96 h) on Brachydonio rerio are:0.05,0.15,0.03,>73.00,>100mg/L; LC50(96 h) on Bombyx mori Linaeus are: 1.28,0.30,2.55,>2000,> 2 000mg/L. Toxicity degrees of actue oral toxicity on Apis mellifera L are:Azadirachtin is hypertoxic, Pyrethrins is highly toxic, Rotenone, Matrine and Cnidiadin are low toxic; on Coturnix coturnix japonicas are:Azadirachtin is highly toxic, Pyrethrins and Rotenone are medium toxic, Matrine and Cnidiadin are low toxic; on Brachydonio rerio are:Azadirachtin and Rotenone are hypertoxic, Pyrethrins is highly toxic, Matrine and Cnidiadin are low toxic; on Bombyx mori Linaeus are:Pyrethrins is hypertoxic, Azadirachtin and Rotenone are highly toxic, Matrine and Cnidiadin are low toxic; The potential risk degrees to Bombyx mori Linaeus of applying in field are: Pyrethrins and Rotenone are very high risk, Azadirachtin is high risk, Matrine and Cnidiadin are low risk. Azadirachtin,Pyrethrins and Rotenone are toxic to non-target organisms, especially high risk for Bombyx mori Linaeus. Matrine and Cnidiadin are low toxic to non-target organisms and relatively safe.
