Investigation And Study Of The Suitable Cultivars And Key Technologies Of Chinese Jujube Cultivating In Xinjiang

Chinese jujube(Zizyphus jujuba Mill.) is an original peculiar species of China.The fruit of jujube has abundant nutrition and various economical use.The natural condition of South Xinjiang such as climate, hydrology, soil is good for the developing of jujube industry. The cultivars, areas, distribution and cultivating technologies of jujube in Xinjiang were investigated.The results are as following:1.Xinjiang had a jujube cultivating area of 166.7 kilo hm2 and an annual yield of 1 million ton.The major local cultivars were Chinese jujube Hamidazao, Chinese jujube Yuancuizao, Chinese jujube Xiaoyuanzao and Chinese jujube Changyuanzao.The large areaed and mass producted imported cultivars were Chinese jujube Junzao, Chinese jujube Huizao, Chinese jujube Lizao, Chinese jujube Dongzao and Chinese jujube Zanhuangdazao while Chinese jujube Jinchangl and Chinese jujube Jingzao39 are promising.2.The maturation of Chinese jujube Dongzao was later than other cultivars, and the phenology in Khotan was earlier than other areas in South Xinjiang.3.The fruit shape, nutrition and favor of Chinese jujube from Xinjiang were mostly better than those from other provinces.The fruit quality in Xinjiang is better.4.The vegetative growth of jujube was most prosperous in Khotan and least in Kashgar, which had no obvious relation with reproductive growth.The difference of fruit quality among areas in South Xinjiang was cultivar dependent.Different areas had various advantage meats for the developing of jujube industy.5.Chinese jujube Dongzao has the most cold resistance and Chinese jujube Xiaoyuanzao has the leaest for young stems, while Chinese jujube Huizao has the most and Chinese jujube Hamidazao has the leaest for old stems.6.Earlier water spraying and more gibberellin spraying during blooming period would be helpful to increase the fruit set rate.
