Improvement Of Dominant Genic Male Sterility Lines In Brassica Napus By Molecular Marker-Assisted Selection

Rapeseed is one of the most important resourse of vegetable edible Oil and feeding protein, and also can be used in morden industry. With the improvement of people's life, we need to improve the yield and quality of rapeseed. Great achievements have been made in studying and utilization of rapeseed hybide vigour in China, and China has done significant contribution to the international rapeseed hybrid breeding. The marker-assisted selection technique has been successfully used in rapeseed hybrid breeding, and the foregound selection make getting the target gene fast with less linkage drages. At the same time, background selection has also been much more efficient in this way.Our research taked the RS1046AB as the donor of male sterility gene and restoring gene, and taked the yu102 as recurrent parent to select GMS line with the marker-assisted selection technique. In this research, we did the foreground selection and the background selection in BC1 and the progenies of sib-mating cross. We used the SCAR markers SCE3, SCB25, SCCR12-walk, SCTAA2 in the foreground selection, and we got the similar result. After that, we got 70 target individuals from 490 individuals in BC1 progenies and 45 individuals from the 235 individuals in the progenies of sib-mating cross. Then, we did the background selection with the AFLP technique and got the UPGMA cluster map with the software NTSYS2.0. Finally, we got the individual which had the most similar genetic background with the recurrent parent.The GMS line we have got would be one of the elite germplam resourcese for the future breeding.
