'Jin-kai 2' was used to study the effects of six kinds of planting densities on agronomic traits, filling characteristics, photosynthetic and yield characteristics of maize with whole covering on double ridges and planting in catchment furrows , which can provide high-yielding cultivation theory of maize with whole covering on double ridges and planting in catchment furrows . Six treatments were applied to experiments, which were 36000 strains / hm~2 (JK-A), 42000 strains / hm~2 (JK-B), 48000 strains / hm~2 (JK-C), 54000 strains / hm~2 (JK-D), 60000 strains / hm~2 (JK-E), 66000 (JK-F) strains / hm~2. The fresults showed that:1. With the advancement of growth, plant height and stem diameter have increased under the same density; with the increase of planting density, plant height first increased and then decreased, JK-C reached maximum 235.57cm; basal internode diameter reduced 0.40cm, at 12.54%, the difference reached significant levels; ear height increased by an average margin of 1.92%; Decreasing trend did not change significantly.2. With the advancement of growth, leaf area per plant, leaf area index and photosynthetic potential of groups showed a single peak under different density. In the growth period, with the increase of planting density, leaf area per plant reduced; photosynthetic potential of groups increased; leaf area index (LAI) increased, but its growth rate gradually decreased. From silking to maturity, leaf area per plant of high-density population groups dropped much than the low-density groups' , JK-A, JK-B, JK-C, JK-D, JK-E, JK-F, decreased respectively for 26.87%, 32.86%, 33.96%, 41.02%, 45.87%, 48.75%.3. Grain dry matter accumulation was "S" curve trend with the time, the grain filling process can be used to describe Logistic model, whose correlation coefficient is above 0.99. JK-A, JK-B, JK-C, JK-D, JK-E, JK-F reached the maximum filling rate time at 25.36d, 25.45d, 25.44d, 27.31d, 27.91d, 29.23d, which were increasing trends ; the maximum filling rate were 1.1745g/(100grain·d),1.1998g/(100grain·d),1.1655g/(100grain·d),1.0928g/(100grain·d),1.0666g/(100grain·d), 0.9882g/(100grain·d); The increasing duration period, the maximum filling rate, the average filling rate, filling rate of slowly increasing period and filling rate of faster increasing period under different planting density had a biggest impact on seed weight of entire-membrane-double-furrow-sowing maize, filling duration had a smaller impact on it.4. Dry matter accumulation per plant and the group accumulate were "S" curve trend with the time, and there were the same trendencies in each treatment. In the growth period, with the planting density increasing, dry matter accumulation per plant reduced, groups' dry matter accumulation increased. the rate of groups' dry matter accumulation increased at low-density density, they slowed down beyond a certain density.5. Yield changes with the density, the max of which was JK-c, up to 10102.50kg/hm~2 . With the production of maize yield increased when plant density was less than JK-C, and decreased rapidly when plant density was higher than the JK-C that. With the increase of planting density, bare top length, post-harvest grain moisture content and seed-producing percentagethe of maize gradually increased; ear length, ear diameter, kernel rows, kernels per row ,100-seed weight and harvest index of which significantly reduced , variance analysis showed that there were significant or very significant differences between treatments with each.
