Eomecon chionantha Hance is a perennial herb and a species of unique category and unique genus in China,being extensively distributed in some of the southern provinces,.such as Zhejiang,Jiangxi,Sichuan, Hunan,etc.Its root and rhizome are used in preparing medicines.After the phytochemistry research of the Eomecon chionantha Hance from the Rhizoma,some compounds have been isolated,such as Chelerythrine,Sanguinarine,Protopine,Allocrypopine,Oxysanguinarine,C helerythridmerine and Iupcnyl acetate.Moreover,from the aerial parts,β-amyrin acetate,β-sterols,etc.have been isolated.And 21 compounds were identified by GC/MS method,the main chemical components are esters,acids,diolefines,alkenes,etc.Among them,the maximal content are Chelerythrine and Sanguinarine.After extracted by PE,CHCl3,70%EtOH,H2O on the sequence from the culm and leaf of Eomecon chionantha Hance,the PE extract were accomplished by Zhangyan.The subject followed the reseacher of Zhangyan,utilizing normal and low pressure silica gel column chromatography,combining solutions,recrystallization and Sephadex LH-20,four compounds from the CHCl3 extract were isolated.The structures of three component during them were elucidated with physical and chemical methods and spectrum methods,such as IR,MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR,2D-NMR.Aslo the three components were discovered by the first time from this genus,those compounds proposed as following: n-C33H67OH(A),3a,22a-Dihydroxy-olean-12-en-29 oic acid(B), Daucosterol(C).And the component B was a new compound.Moreover, the structure of component D is educidating.
