This study was conducted to investigate the feeding effects of dietary fiber additive on weaned piglets. One hundred and twenty 28±2 days old piglets (durco×landrace×yorkshire) were divided into three groups randomly according to their weights, and four repeats of ten piglets each with half male and female, namely control group, 0.1% fiber group and 0.3% fiber group. Five weeks feeding trial and digestive trial were conducted. Some serum indexes and amoutn of microorgannism in cecum and colon were detcted. The results are as follows:Trial 1: There was significant difference for F/W between control group and 0.3% fiber group(P<0.05). No significant difference between control group and 0.1% fiber group(P >0.05) was found, but the 0.1% fiber group was higher than that of control group by 4.62%. There were no significant differences for ADG among each group (P >0.05), but the feed intake of piglets of fiber groups decreased slightly. The diarrhea rate of adding fiber groups decreased significantly (P <0.05). The 0.3% fiber group decreased extremely significant comparing with control group (P <0.01). There was no difference for diarrhea index between control group and fiber group(P >0.05), but the decreasing tendency was observed. The results showed that adding fiber additive was benefit to the weaned piglets on feed conversion rate and diarrhea rate. Adding 0.3% fiber additive is better than that of 0.1%.Trial 2: There was no significant difference for DM apparent digestibility between control group and 0.1% fiber group and 0.3% fiber group(P >0.05), but it decreased by 3.50% and 1.32% when compared with control group. There has significant difference for ASH apparent digestibility between the two trial groups and control group(P <0.05), and they decreased by 10.12% and 11.39% separately when compared with control group, but there was no significant difference between 0.1% fiber group and 0.3% fiber group(P >0.05).There was extremely significant difference for CP apparent digestibility between control group and 0.3% fiber group(P <0.01), and significant difference between 0.3% fiber group and 0.1% fiber group(P <0.05 ); and significant difference between 0.1% fiber group and control group(P <0.05 ), the CP digestibility of the two fiber groups decreased by 4.98% and 9.54% separately comparing with control group(P <0.05). The two fiber groups had no difference for NDF apparent digestibility comparing with control group(P >0.05), but both had the increasing tendency, with 7.09% and 10.64% higher separately. There was extremely significant difference for ADF apparent digestibility between 0.1% fiber group and control group and 0.3% fiber group(P <0.01), and the ADF apparent digestibility has increased by 15.46% and 12.98% separately. There was no significant difference for ADF apparent digestibility between 0.3% fiber group and control group(P >0.05). There has significant difference for Ca apparent digestibility between 0.1% fiber group and control group(P <0.05), and it increased by 5.60%. And there was no significant difference between 0.3% fiber group and control group(P >0.05), and there was significant difference between group of 0.1% fiber and group of 0.3% fiber(P <0.05). There was significant difference for P apparent digestibility between 0.1% fiber group and control group(P <0.05), and the digestibility was raised by 4.87%. And had no significant difference between 0.3% fiber group and control group(P >0.05), and there was significant difference between 0.1% fiber group and 0.3% fiber group(P <0.05). Compared with control group, 0.1% fiber group could significantly raise the activity of AKP and the concentration of TP(P <0.05); 0.1% fiber group and 0.3% fiber group can both significant raise the activity of GPT and GOT(P <0.05),and can both decrease the concentration of GLU and UN(P <0.05); and they had no effect on the concentration of CH(P >0.05). The results showed that the digestibility of DM, ASH and CP were decreased by adding the fiber in weanling piglets'diets, and the digestibility of NDF,ADF,Ca and P(P <0.05). Dietary fiber has special nutrition physiological effect on weanling piglets. Dietary fiber supplementation can raise the activity of AKP,GPT,GOT and the concentration of TP, and has effect on decreasing the content of GLU and CH.Trial 3: There was no significant difference for the ileum and colon contents pH value between 0.3% fiber group and the control group (P >0.05), regarding the ileum pH value, the fiber group increased 2.98% compared with the control group, but the colon pH value, the fiber group droped slightly comparing with control group; there has significant difference for the caecum pH between 0.3% fiber group and control group (P<0.05), the fiber group reduced 5.96% comparing with the control group. There was no significant difference for the relative weight of the liver and the spleen between 0.3% fiber group and control group (P>0.05), but had the increasing tendency, enhanced 1.48% and 6.25% separately. The difference of the colibacillus was not obviously in the caecum between 0.3% fiber group and control group (P>0.05), but decreased by 15.7% comparing with the control group; in colon it has significant difference (P<0.05).There was no significant difference for the lactobacilli in the colon and the caecum between 0.3% fiber group and control group (P>0.05), and for the lactobacilli number of the caecum, fiber groups were lower than control group slightly, in the colon the lactobacilli number of experiment group enhanced 5.83% than the control group. The intestinal tract total bacteria number in the colon and the caecum, 0.3% dietary fiber group was higher than the control group, in the colon and the caecum, total bacteria of the fiber group enhanced 4.96% and 6.0% separately. The result of the estudy indicated that the dietary fiber might reduce the weaned piglets caecum and the colon pH value, only in the ileum the pH value increased slightly; The fiber additive can promote the growth of visceral organ of weanled piglets. By adding fiber additive, the number of colibacillus, was decreased and lactobacilli increased. The fiber additive could improve bacteria colony of weaned piglets in intestinal tract.
