| Based on the selection in Lab., the field evaluation on resistance of the clones of 4 Alfalfa Cultivars(lines) (HA-3, Ta, M8 and Ja)against thrips was carried out in Lanzhou in 2008. Thrip population in the field was a complex, but mainly Odontothrips loti, which amounted to over 95%. Evaluation on resistance of 4 Alfalfa Cultivars(lines) against O. loti ,agricultural traits and herbage quality were carried out at the bud stage.1.
