Study On Flower Meadow In Expressway Greening

As a new application form of ground cover, flower meadow has been applied in expressway greening. It can form charming landscape, and it is of great value in the construction of saving-oriented landscape. This research took flower meadow in Nanjing-Hangzhou Expressway (first phase), Nanjing-Changzhou Expressway, Zhenjiang- Liyang Expressway and Nanjing-Hangzhou Expressway (second phase) as the investigation object. This paper found out that:1 Through field investigation into the four expressways, there were 34 plant species in flower meadow, including 29 flower species and 5 grass species. The configuration technology, quantitative characteristics, plant succession and plant ratio of flower meadow in selected 21 plots were analyzed, the current situation and law of development were summed up, so as to build solid foundation for the theoretical research of flower meadow construction.2 Based on all the characteristics of flower meadow plants in expressways, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to make evaluation criteria for the selection of flowers. 29 flower species in expressway greening were comprehensively evaluated. The results of cluster analysis showed that 8 species were ranked excellent, 15 species were ranked good, and total 23 species could be widely used in expressway greening. This research provided reference for the choice of flower meadow plants in expressway.3 Using the analytic hierarchy process, a suitable landscape evaluation model for flower meadow in expressway greening was established. According to the synthetic evaluation model, landscape of flower meadow in 21 plots was evaluated comprehensively, and four of them were first-grade landscape. Plant combination that formed first-grade landscape could be widely applied. A questionnaire survey was conducted among drivers and passengers to confirm the role of flower meadow in expressway greening, so as to provide scientific theoretical basis and proof of practice for expressway greening.4 Through the analysis of projects, the design idea, principles, construction and maintenance of management experience of flower meadow in expressway were summarized, and reference could be provided for the design and construction of similar projects.
