In order to discuss the adaptability of low temperature on wild cherry plum, wild cherry plum seedling trees were selected as experimental material. This research comprehended the physiological changing rules of leakage ratio of electrolyte, soluble protein, soluble sugar, free proline, SOD, POD, CAT, MDA, H2O2. The changing of microstructure during the naturally decreasing temperature in autumn of wild cherry plum leaves.The cold resistance of wild cherry plum dormant branches after cold treatment.The major results were summarized as follows:1. During naturally decreasing temperature in autumn, the comparison of chinese plum Terata had higher ability of cold resistance than wild cherry plum by correlation analysis and variance analysis. There had consanguineous relationship between SOD, CAT, free proline, MDA and cold resistance by component analysis.2. The observation of microstructure showed that: the relationship between the cell tense ratio and the cold resistance was positive correlation. Size order was Terata>wild cherry plum, the result equated with the cold resistance of practice planting.3. The changing range about leakage ratio of electrolyte of wild cherry plum dormant branches showed slowly~fast~slowly trend with temperature reducing, that was"S"increasing curve. The semi-lethal temperature of wild cherry plum was from -20℃to -29℃. Different types of wild cherry plum had different cold resistance, most of them were around -25℃. The semi-lethal temperature for chinese plum was from -40℃to -42℃. Compared with the cultivar of wild cherry plum, chinese plum had stronger cold tolerance, The result equated with the recovery growth of dormant branches.
